Description: Beginner CanSkate - TUESDAY - Fall Beginner CanSkate Especially for the new skater! Beginner CanSkate is designed for children who are just starting out on the ice. Using fun games and engaging activities, this program helps skaters build confidence while learning the basics of skating. Skaters work on fundamental skills such as balancing, standing up, and gliding on two feet, progressing toward short two-foot and one-foot glides, simple two-foot turns, snowplow stops, and even beginner backward skating. This level focuses on Stages 1 and early Stage 2 of the CanSkate program. Open to skaters ages 3 and up. Skaters who have already started working on Stage 2 skills or beyond should register for Intermediate CanSkate.
